This
event is annually organized by AB&AB Tecnologías de la Información, GeneXus
distributor in Peru, in order to gather the Peruvian GeneXus community,
currently spread throughout the most important cities in the country: Lima,
Piura, Arequipa, Trujillo, Chimbote, Cajamarca and Chincha.
The event was organized in two sets
of simultaneous lectures about topics that dealt with technical issues,
solutions, and experiences with GeneXus developments in Peru.
José Zegarra, Project Manager at AFP Integra - a pension fund administrator - shared
his experience by presenting a GeneXus application called "Sales Force
Automation." This application has enabled the company's sales force to improve
productivity and client service by facilitating access to management-related
information.
Luis Pita, Systems Manager at Universal Textil, talked
about the way in which GeneXus has contributed to improving management in the
company's systems department. Universal Textil, a world supplier of top-quality
textiles, has used the tool for 11 years now.
Lizardo
Fernández, a GeneXus Technology consultant, also participated in the meeting by
showing the advantages and benefits provided by the SIA GX Solution (Integrated
Administration System). Maryuri Silva, from the Proemsa's development team,
presented the InteloGiX solution, which enables process flow automation by using
Workflow, thus facilitating integration with suppliers through the web.
Rafael Mon,
GXFlow's Program Manager and GeneXus Consulting Project Director - who has
worked at ARTech for more than 10 years-, also participated in the event by
presenting the reasons why it is necessary to use Workflow technology in
projects. He also shared the development benefits in using GXFlow.
In
a lecture called "ARTech is not only GeneXus," tools such as GXPortal, GXFlow,
GXPlorer, and GXQuery were presented, as well successful experiences in using
them. Liliana Delgado, Administrating Manager at AB&AB, and Oliver Falcón
from the same company, shared advantages and experiences in developing portals
with GXPortal. The new GeneXus 8.0 features were also presented in a lecture by
Javier Carranza, AB & AB's Chief of Technical
Support.
