| Software Guru magazine has awarded GeneXus the first prize in the "Application Generator" category. The voting was conducted through an online survey. |
The Software Guru Awards distinguish the most outstanding software development products and technologies of the year.
This year, more than 1,200 people voted, mainly from Mexico but also from other Spanish-speaking countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.
GeneXus turned out to be the most popular product in the "Application Generator" category, followed by PowerBuilder and Clarion.
In connection with the award, the February 2009 issue says that: "The tools for generating applications maintain their relevance and have significantly evolved to respond to the market's needs. They are certainly very different from the 4GLs that we had 20 years ago. In this category, GeneXus is probably the product that has incorporated more features in the last couple of years. We can see that this has made it more popular, even more so than a well-known product such as PowerBuilder."
