Main features:
- Configurations at server level
The process installs, in each execution, the routines needed for each DBMS. If you want to install more than one DBMS, it will be necessary to execute the GeneXus C/SQL Setup Wizard as often as the number of DBMSs you have. This version allows for configurations at server level, so the usual information (for example the location of a compiler) will be entered once and not with every DBMS.
- Installation from the server
When the GeneXus C/SQL Setup Wizard is executed directly in the server console, the installation process enables Windows explorer to locate where the necessary products are (compiler, pre-compiler), thus simplifying the process.
- New configurations
In this version it is possible to configure the port where the REXEC service is carried out and also the timeout, that is, the time the GeneXus C/SQL Setup Wizard will have to wait for an answer from the server.
- It maintains settings
In each execution of the GeneXus C/SQL Setup Wizard the values selected (compiler and pre-compiler information, etc) for eachof the operating systems and DBMSs in the servers are left unchanged. In this way, the information required for the reinstallation of the routines in a server is simplified. If the values to be set are the same, just press the Finish button in the Select server and database manager screen.
