GeneXus QUERY in the hands of final users

ARTech's product allows managers to carry out their own dynamic queries in databases, in a very simple, quick, and friendly way. It has been released and it is already being used by final users.

"GeneXus QUERY has been released, and sales keep going up", Gerardo Wisosky, manager of ARTech´s partners relations, and GeneXus QUERY and GXplorer product manager, announced. "The product is already being used by final users", he reported.
GeneXus QUERY is an ARTech's tool that enables final users to query any database without having to previously build a Data Warehouse or carrying out additional developments. Generation of dynamic reports with this tool becomes a friendly task for final users. They no longer need to know the database, the attributes or where the tables are located nor the relation between them. From the Excel interface, final users just select the information that they wish to analyze and perform the query.
GeneXus QUERY guides users in carrying out valid queries in such a way that, if for instance, there is no relation between product and country attributes, GeneXus QUERY will not enable selection of those two attributes in the same query.

The product is offered at very competitive prices. The cost of a license is US$ 150 per user, and there is a price reduction proportional to the number of licenses hired. Price list information has already been published. Check it at:http://www.gxtechnical.com/main/Hgxprods.aspx?2,8,175,
We would like to remind you that software houses can incorporate GeneXus QUERY into their systems under the bundle model, at even lower prices, through agreements with ARTech and GeneXus distributors throughout the world. Also, product licensing through the Web will be implemented in the short-term.
Putting a report together with GeneXus QUERY is very simple. However, it is also possible to create more complex reports determining conditions, different additions, alerts, etc. Users can keep these queries in a "catalog".
Information can be presented in the form of dynamic tables, charts, and it can also be published on the Internet or company Intranets (HTML). Since GeneXus QUERY has been integrated into Excel, the data can be handled using all the Excel worksheet functions.
In order to establish security levels, the analyst will be able to limit the access of users to attributes, according to their profile. Furthermore, users themselves can choose to establish another security level, from the moment that they can choose to define whether other users can see or modify queries that are kept in their own "catalog".
The GeneXus QUERY Users forum has already started working. You can subscribe at: http://www.gxtechnical.com/cgi-bin/hforum.exe?2,3,30
