GeneXus technical information as a Web Service

ARTech has developed a Web Service that provides all of the technical information from the Download Center in XML format; This way, it can be published in any Web site, whether the site has been developed with GeneXus or not.

The Download Center is an application that gathers and offers all of the technical information published by ARTech in the Web: manuals, documentation, upgrades, beta versions, release notes, demos, operating examples, tips, tools, technical papers, etc.
Thanks to the new Web Service, as ARTech updates its Web, all the information may be simultaneously published on any Internet site. For this to happen, it is only necessary to define the desired parameters -for instance, the last 10 upgrades of the modeler for GeneXus 7.5- and all pertinent information will be automatically retrieved to the HTML page where you wish to have it published.
The parameters to be defined are: solution, product, version, download type, and quantity.

Just like for the GeneXus news Web Service, the protocol used for calling this service is SOAP. For this reason, although these services can be easily accessed with GeneXus, anyone programming with the corresponding SOAP protocol may access the service, even without using GeneXus. The GeneXus news section has been published every 4th night, and has been offered by ARTech as a free Web service since last year.
