GXFlow Lets Us Model and Optimize Certified Processes

"At PA we believe that systems must support a company's business processes as designed. Using GXFlow, this can become a reality," said Ricardo Calella from Profesionales Asociados.

PA is a GeneXus sub-distributor company located in Neuquén (Argentina). It provides business consulting services such as process redesign, and works with an interdisciplinary team.

"The advantage of having GXFlow for carrying out process redesign has been proven," said Ricardo Calella, a partner at Profesionales Asociados SRL. "We believe that systems have to support a company's business process as designed. By using GXFlow this can become reality," added Calella.

More specifically, PA is developing software that ought to support all the processes at NLS S.A, a company that provides design, management, construction, and project operation services for the oil industry.

Calella said that the processes at NLS S.A. comply with the certifications from the ISO 9001/2000 norms, and that by using GXFlow they have managed to model and optimize them. "Now the process is entirely executed, which means saving time, paper, and what is more important, ensuring communication between the different roles participating in the process," he added.

The first module in production that has been developed for NLS S.A is a Purchase and Accounts Payable system, which includes some 10 activity-diagrams that have been designed using GXFlow 7.5 (GXPM).

"In this project, most of the queries made to the system are thought to be executed with GXQuery. This allows us to free development resources usually allocated to report design," declared Calella.

The company has used GeneXus since version 6.1. Its first GeneXus application included a process with WorkFlow.
