GXplorer 4.0 released

The new version of the GeneXus Data Warehousing solution: GXplorer, offers important new features, and comes with a new commercialization plan as well as different promotions.

GXplorer 4.0 has introduced a new nominated-license commercialization plan which comes with four OLAP licenses after the purchase of GXplorer Manager. This adds three more licenses to the ones provided so far.
Gerardo Wisosky, GXplorer Product Manager (http://www.gxplorer.com) said that, "As part of the launching, we are offering a 25% discount on the total price of the product (until 8/15), a 15% discount (until 8/31), and a 5% discount (until 9/30)".
Wisosky highlighted that together with the purchase of GXplorer 4.0, GeneXus QUERY would be provided as part of the product launching. As you all know, GeneXus QUERY enables final users to create their own dynamic queries from an Excel worksheet.
The following are some of the most relevant features that come with the new GXplorer version:

- Improvements on the selection of Measures and Dimensions upon query specification
- Easier ways for carrying out a search
- Creation of Dimensions and Measures personal folders
- Automatic creation of a folder with the latest elements that have been used
- More power in handling the queries catalog
- New ways for carrying out a search
- The possibility of creating query folders for enhancing organization and search
- Better chances of getting folder permits
- Addition of graph cataloging to queries
- The possibility of exporting and importing queries in order to share them among different installations
- Easy management of different metadata
- Creation and management of different metadata by analysts (for different databases, be them operational or from Data Warehousing). This way, end users are free to select which one they wish to work from GXplorer.
- Management is made easier with the possibility of exporting and exporting metadatas between different installations, the use of different metadata catalogs shared by different user groups, etc.

Wisosky also mentioned that from this version on, GXplorer Manager support will be provided through the GXplorer forum for free. (http://www.gxtechnical.com/main/Hforum.aspx?2,3,30,9)
