It is possible to compare them and analyze the impact of the changes, as well as consolidate and/or adapt them. This year ARTech is releasing a new Knowledge Manager with more features (Adapt From, Private Objects, etc.) to make even easier to use, adapt and protect the property of the knowledge. (…) There are now more than 2700 clients of GeneXus all over the world, including more than 500 software houses. Many of these clients have Knowledge Bases built for their own applications, which could be of interest outside their enterprises. At the same time, there are many businesses involving knowledge among these enterprises (even though their activities are very different) or with software houses. ARTech encourages all kinds of collaboration among users; that is why there is an Application Catalog in our Web (http://www.artech.com.uy/cataplic/cataplic.htm). The Catalog also includes applications developed by end users, without prior intention of licensing.The business knowledge developed around GeneXus is today a reality. This Catalog includes Knowledge Bases especially developed to be commercially licensed. It is edited in print, in CD and in ARTech's site in the WEB. The aim of that site, which will be systematically updated and spread, is to put in contact suppliers and users of the business knowledge. Even most clients are aware of it, it is important to emphasize that GeneXus administers pure knowledge, so these Knowledge Bases, as well as any other developed with GeneXus, can be used to generate applications for any of the platforms and architectures supported. And above all, it will be possible to use them with new technologies in the future.
