New user meetings

The new year is slowly starting to roll and communities throughout America are gathering again. In this case the GeneXus communities of Monterrey, Mexico; Rosario, Argentina; and Cuenca, Ecuador, are holding their user meetings in a few days’ time.

Next Saturday March 3, in the morning, the second GeneXus user meeting will be held in Monterrery, Mexico. As in the previous meeting, the venue will be Café 13 Lunas (located in the Barrio Antiguo).

In this meeting presentations will be based on more technical aspects, having users present their own success stories.

To confirm your participation, please contact Camilo Antoria, one of the meeting organizers, by mail to camilo@actecnologias.com.

On the other hand, users of the GeneXus Community of Cuenca, Ecuador, will hold their first meeting on Wednesday March 7. It will take place at the VIP room of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuenca, from 9am to 12.30pm. The main focus will be to exchange experiences and knowledge, as reflected in the meeting's agenda, which includes topics such as GeneXus Community Resources, Experiences with GeneXus, and Success stories, among others.

As in previous events, a copy of the book: “A Practical Guide to GeneXus – Knowledge- based Development”, by Professor Daniel Marquez Lisboa, will be raffled among participants, by courtesy of Artech.

To confirm your participation, please contact Daniel Coellar, at dcoellar@cobus.com.ec.

Similarly, the GeneXus Community of Rosario, Argentina, is also preparing its second meeting as a way to start the year with closer links, higher participation and support among community members. It will take place on Saturday March 17 starting at 9am with breakfast and lunch, and finishing approximately at 5pm.

Even when some aspects (such as place and cost) still need to be confirmed, the meeting will be attended by Armin Bachmann, of Artech, who will speak in the morning, presenting GeneXus Rocha; Open Source architecture development experiences; and responding the question of what to expect after GeneXus version 10. In the afternoon there will be a talk on win development versus web development and a talk on experiences at work and development with web services.

To send proposals, comments and to confirm your attendance, please contact Iván G. Seligmann at ivan.seligmann@eds.com.
