NewTech opens branch in Rio de Janeiro

Last week, NewTech opened its Rio de Janeiro branch. This state accounts for approximately 15% of the national GDP, which has turned it into the second most important contributor to the national Gross Domestic Product.

NewTech, GeneXus distributor in Brazil, last week opened its Rio de Janeiro branch located in the neighborhood of Botafogo (Rua Eduardo Guinle, 36).

"NewTech is aware that Rio de Janeiro is an extremely important market for the expansion of the GeneXus community in Brazil, because it has a large industrial park, it is the seat of a large number of multinational companies and is the decision-making seat for several private and state-run national companies," explained Roque Antônio Lima, NewTech's Commercial Manager.

Moreover, "Rio de Janeiro has a great influence on the neighboring markets, offers easy access to the northern markets, where we are truly growing, and to the north-eastern markets, where our presence has been weaker, although it is likely to be strengthened by the creation of this branch," added Lima.

He concluded by saying that: "All this led us to decide to create a strong foothold in this market and open our branch."

NewTech already has experience in Rio's government sector by working with the Osvaldo Cruz Foundation. Rio de Janeiro accounts for approximately 15% of Brazil's GDP (Gross Domestic Product), which has turned it into the second most important contributor to
the national GDP.
