Sagra Improves its Operation with GeneXus

The Brazilian company incorporated GeneXus more than three years ago, to better respond to the accelerated growth of business. The decision translated into an improvement in the operation and excellent attention of its clients.

Sagra, the drug distribution company that serves 6,000 clients in Brazil -and also distributes perfumes through Dimper, another company- runs its entire operation with a system developed with GeneXus. It has just implemented a Sales Force application for Pocket PC, developed with the latest version of GeneXus.

 

Given the accelerated growth of the company, Sagra adopted GeneXus more than three years ago, when it saw the need for greater flexibility in the development and modification of applications to provide customers with a better service. The text environment based systems, (Clipper) which they had at that time, no longer served the needs of a growing company.

 

Along with GeneXus and the Visual Fox Pro generator, Sagra developed the Sagra Integrated Operation (GIS), an ERP that issues 11 thousand fiscal notes a day, and operates on an Oracle data base that stores 70 GB of information.

 

With the implementation of GIS, Sagra managed to improve the company's operation by achieving a better processing of the orders, and more flexibility in the purchase process.

Besides that, the use of this system favored stock control, as well as financial control of the company.

"GIS is currently taking care of all the needs of the company through its constant modifications that accompany the changes that are constantly being implemented in Sagra and that set the company apart from its competitors," said Cristovam José Soler, Sagra's IT manager.

 

On the other hand, Sagra, with the 8.0 version of GeneXus and the Pocket PC generator, developed a Sales Force system that gives the representatives of the company greater flexibility in the process of getting orders and controlling clients, as well as greater mobility to close orders.

Also with the latest version of GeneXus, the Remofar system was developed, to deal with electronic orders of clients and representatives.
Heurys Technology, GeneXus sub-distributor in Brazil, participated as a consultant, supporting with GeneXus the development of all these systems within Sagra.
