| Montevideo COMM developed a Web site for Cambio Val where registered users receive information on exchange rates by e-mail. In the future, this information will be published as a Web Service open to everyone. |
Users registered at http://www.cambioval.com.uy can receive up to four boards worth of content: the main board with quotations for the dollar, the Argentine peso, and the Brazilian real; arbitrage; Banco Central del Uruguay closing information; and the quotation for precious metals. Cambio Val clients who are not registered at the site can also have access to this service if they request it by phone.
The site also offers people in general a currency converter as well as access to historic information on currency values. Marisa Casamayor, the person in charge of the project together with Cecilia Poittevin, reported that the development done with GeneXus version 7.5 Release Candidate, from which the use of webrappers has been incorporated so that registered users can receive e-mail notices in HTML format.
"In addition, in the near future we are going to define the basic board as a Web Service of which el Portal de Montevideo COMM will be the first consumer", Ms. Casamayor added.
