The first Beta of GeneXus 6 Ev II is currently been released

This new version follows two strategic avenues: facilitating the Knowledge Bases commercialization and simplifying the application generation process for e-business.

Regarding the first goal, in Ceibo's Beta 1 (our new name for this version which replaces the former version in the name of "Margo") the Private Objects are currently being released. In former GeneXus versions, which brought the Knowledge Base to commercialization, the possibility of reserving access to certain parts of the objects was not enabled (objects that were a part of the core). As a result, a developer would have to show the perspective purchaser the solution in its entirety. The new version allows for the option of private objects to appear, which facilitates the knowledge business by allowing the the owner to reserve exclusive control over certain aspects, which may pertain solely and specifically to him.

For e-business applications, a new editor has been incorporated that allows designing HTML pages for Web Panels without knowing HTML is being released. This way, the GeneXus analyst can design pages with excellent presentations very quickly.
