The new features included in GeneXus Ceibo Beta 4 version makes utilizing the tool for the Internet even more accurate. Beta 4 allows designing models with access to multiple databases (DB). Due to this new possibility, developers can now have Data Views associated to different DB, even different suppliers were added to the new features. Now it is possible to edit the HTML source code, enabling the inclusion in GeneXus objects. In this beta, nested subfiles can be predefined, which allows, for example, showing the product categories in a subfile and, for each category, showing the products in another subfile. Apart from that, there is a new command for reviewing the lines of a subfile, in the case of having multiple subfiles (for each line in a subfile). Regarding the improvements that were included in this beta, the majority of them are directed for the use of the Internet. For example, the form properties are generated (backcolor, backpics, etc.), the ‘image.clic’ event can be programmed, the image management is improved, and web panels with multiple subfiles and attributes in the fix section are supported. Additionally, the use of the tool bar in the Web object editor was included and the Random function, used mostly to generate session numbers, was also implemented.
