community, particularly in Brazil, where this community is constantly growing ",

Attendees to the 3rd GeneXus Brazil Meeting were witnesses
of this vision and commitment of ARTech towards the GeneXus community throughout
the event, specially reflected in the words of ARTech Vice President, Nicolás
Jodal,. "The presentation of ARTech Vice President, Nicolás Jodal, was
remarkably interesting", commented Douglas Hamilton de Oliveira from FATEC
Jundiaí. "He showed the commitment of ARTech to the loyalty of its community,
presenting important ideas to advance in GeneXus development, just on the eve of
a new version launching. This futuristic vision, tuned to the latest
technological developments, shows the GeneXus competitiveness spirit", added de
Olivera.
FATEC Jundiai presented its activities in the Jundiaí
School of Technology, site of the GeneXus technology Training Center. The
purpose of the centre is to train GeneXus technology professionals among the
students and teachers of the School. Courses are currently extracurricular, but
they are scheduled to be included in some disciplines of the plan of studies in
2006.
"In the short term, we expect to become a referent in the
training of GeneXus professionals in the Brazilian market, where GeneXus is
rapidly expanding and there is high demand for GeneXus professionals", noted
Douglas Hamilton de Oliveira, from FATEC Jundiaí.
Gerardo Wisosky, ARTech International Partners Manager,
reminded us that changes in technology are fast and powerful, all of which
forces software houses to move equally fast or even faster, something
unthinkable with manual programming. ARTech is constantly listening to customers
and anticipating technology changes in order to support GeneXus users, who can
use GeneXus 9.0 to face changes arising in the market , such as the ones
connected to the use of AJAX, added Wisosky.
Just one week after the 3rd GeneXus Brazil Meeting, the
prestigious Gazeta Mercantil (Sao Paulo, 11/23/05), published an article
entitled: AJAX is here to change the software market, in which it warns about
the changes that these technologies are likely to cause in the software
business.
In the 3rd GeneXus Brazil Meeting, Guilherme Davoli,
psychologist, psychotherapist, professor of educational psychology and
educational and corporate consultant, gave a lecture in which he highlighted the
importance of being aware of the fact that big corporations and ventures are
based on people who try to be great people, who want to make a difference in
their circles. It is just a question of believing and having the courage to put
our beliefs into practice, he said.
Davoli said that what impressed him the most during the
3rd GeneXus Brazil Meeting was "to find that, in a world where most of the large
companies often encourage disloyal competition, it is possible to find a group
of businessmen, and maybe competitors, capable of and willing to act as
teammates". "Those that, in addition to sharing a meal, share their dreams and
projects", noted Davoli.
