The GeneXus community has now a web site where queries and searches can be made in all the conversations and the over 92,000 messages exchanged in the GeneXus forums since 2001.
The Web view of the over 90 thousand messages that have circulated since 2001 in the forums is possible thanks to the ForumSR project, developed in the framework of the Collaborative Projects initiative promoted by ARTech.
Javier Cruchaga, Gabriel Icasuriaga, Federico Wagner, Gabriel Gramajo and Armin Bachmann are in charge of this project. It aims at establishing a meeting point for the community where its members can make queries, collaborate and participate.
Gabriel Icasuriaga commented that "at the last GeneXus International Meeting we noted the need to improve the forums and at the beginning of this year we decided to do it with the GXOpen Task Force. In May Armin and Federico joined the Project and when we heard about Collaborative Projects we subscribed immediately to the initiative. It also helped us find an additional member, because Gabriel Gramajo from the USA joined the project.
Icasuriaga also announced that the ForumSR Knowledge Base will be available for all the GeneXus community in GXOpen. The project page in GXwiki has a list of features that will be added in the following versions. http://www.gxopen.com/commwiki/servlet/hwikibypageid?2746
The forums are promoted by ARTech – who provides hosting for them – and they have grown with the participation of the GeneXus community that queries, responds and shares their GeneXus-related experiences.
