The prestigious conference of digital technology and culture took place in Valencia from Monday, July 27 through Sunday, August 2. At this event, GeneXus Spain representatives presented GeneXus as an ideal tool to generate Free Software, something that fits the needs of young, independent companies. |
When it was first held in 1997, 250 young people attended the Campus Party, and since then its attendance has been growing every year until gathering almost 9000 people in 2008. Using these numbers as a reference, you can get an idea of how this event has earned its place in Europe, by joining the various IT platforms and collectives, bringing them together to create an ideal space to share ideas and knowledge.
The seven days between July 27 and August 2 were packed with activities covering various content areas, from digital creativity to robotics, going through software development, modding or videogames and cyberculture.
In between talks, demos and workshops, GeneXus Spain presented, in the blue innovation area, an application created with GeneXus and generated in JAVA for a WEB environment. This application was developed using Free Software and geared towards young, independent enterprises, describing the possibilities that GeneXus would provide them in this context.
