By using GeneXus, we've developed our own Assistance
Applicative for HADS® (Health Administration Data System), generating our
client/server modules in Visual Basic and Web sites with GeneXus.NET technology,
taking into account the versatility and scalability of the tool, and ARTech's
constant search for state-of-the-art technology.
We were anxious to migrate to GeneXus 8.0 -the KB is
composed of 2,694 GeneXus objects- and begin using ADO.NET technology, due to
the substantial performance improvements. And, in addition, we wanted to use a
100% ".NET managed code" to access DBMS, use caching and the connection
pool.
Thanks to Horwath Technological Solutions and ARTech's
commitment to our ambitious goal, we were able to migrate and put into work our
application in our project with the Instituto Provicial de Salud de Salta. We
used the GeneXus option (.NET generator, upgrade 1) to connect to RDBMS through
ADO.NET in its beta version in less than a month, achieving excellent results
and meeting our expectations as well as the client's.
