In order to further increase productivity in the creation and conversion of web applications with GeneXus, K2B has released the third version of K2B Tools. The new suite of applications allows for a greater reduction of development times and costs, and adds new features that improve the quality of applications. K2B Tools 3.0 will be available for GeneXus X and GeneXus X Evolution 1, and can be downloaded from its new website, k2btools.com.
In connection with the release, the director of K2B Karina Santo commented that "
this new product arrives at the right time, when companies need to act faster and be able to efficiently manage their resources. K2B Tools makes it possible to increase productivity: statistics show that our tool can build about 40 to 60% of an application using GeneXus. Designed to build large applications, K2B Tools generates applications based on SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), solving critical aspects such as security and integration with other technologies. In this sense, it makes it very easy to integrate technologies such as Business Process Management to solutions, by integrating GXflow, and Web portals through GXportal.
The key new features of K2B Tools include:
• A new look and feel for the generated applications, which now look more professional and are more customizable in order to allow for better integration to the solutions.
• New pattern for the generation of transaction Web Forms; it is managed from the K2B Tools dialog and not manually.
• New possibilities for displaying and organizing information through the addition of controls that enable the use of: groups of attributes, columns, separators, prompts in any variable and contextual help, among other features.
