In addition to the Pocket PC generator, GeneXus now offers
a new generator that is included in GeneXus Beta Yi version, called GeneXus .NET
Compact Framework, and covers a wider variety of devices, such as SmartPhones.
.NET Compact Framework is the latest technology for this
type of applications, and it is exclusively designed for mobile devices,
optimizing resources, memory, battery use, etc.
Besides generating for a wide variety of devices-any that
run on Windows CE- GeneXus .NET Compact Framework allows you to use databases
such as SQL Server CE (SQL Server's mobile version).
In addition, this new generator is based on technology
already approved by GeneXus .NET, which warranties the new solution's strength
for developing mobile applications.
GeneXus .NET Compact Framework is being tested by GeneXus
clients in Chile, Brazil and Uruguay.
