The turnout at the Tokyo meeting exceeded all expectations. |
The “GeneXus Day 2009 Spring” seminar took place on April 20, 2009 in Curian, Tokyo.
The event organizers state that this year’s turnout doubled last year’s.
Dr. Uchiyama, a former professor at Tokyo’s University, delivered the main lecture, “Paradigm shift in system development,” while Mr. Yokoi from GeneXus Japan talked about GeneXus X’s new functionalities.
For his part, Mr. Yotsui, executive director of IT Frontier, explained that “Innovation in businesses will be accomplished through system development without writing code and that this, in turn, is achieved with GeneXus.”
The venue was also filled to capacity for the presentations delivered by Mr. Futatui (director of Advantest) and Mr. Noguchi (director of Takashima), who dealt with “Resurgence of in-house system development” and “Use of GeneXus X in i-series”, respectively.
With respect to the latter presentation, we should point out that many i-series users still choose to continue using RPG and prefer not to change to other machines in this market.
The problem, experts say, is in having to offer systems with the latest technology for the company. In this context, GeneXus emerges as the solution to this problem.
