The buzz is growing around the VIII GeneXus Meeting, and as the IT world gravitates towards mobile devices we want to invite you to participate in the Smart Devices Contest.
Smart Devices Contest
This contest involves the development of a project for Smart Devices, fully generated with GeneXus X Evolution 2 Beta.
The winning development project will be presented at the VIII GeneXus Meeting for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Participants and their projects must meet the requirements described in the following paragraphs.
Submission: The deadline to submit projects is March 11th, 2011.
Results: On March 16th, 2011 the contest results will be announced on Facebook and Twitter. In addition, the winners will be notified by email.
Presentation: On March 23rd, 2011 the winning project will be presented during the Meeting.
Requirements to Participate:
1. The contest is open for all members of the GeneXus Community in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
2. Only one project per developer is allowed.
Project Technical Requirements:
To participate, projects must be fully generated with GeneXus X Evolution 2 Beta, with an application programmed for any of the three Operating Systems supported.

• RIM
• Android
Developers are free to chose the generator language and the DBMS to use.
In order to be allowed to participate, projects must comply with the contest rules. In addition, the feasibility of their development using the features existing in Beta 2 of GeneXus X Evolution 2 will also be taken into account.
