Credit cards with GeneXus

ACC Group is a Brazilian company that works in the financial area in Fortaleza. They count on a credit card administrator, an exchange house and stockbrokers that act in the Stock Exchange.

The whole internal administration and management of the ACCard user is managed from modules developed in GeneXus that are active and running 24 hours a day. ACCard today has 120 thousand final users, 65 positions distributed among bus terminals, enterprises of the center and different neighborhoods of Grande Fortaleza, all of this is apart from 1200 points of purchasing machines in shops in the area. More than one thousand establishments that include supermarkets, drug stores, shopping malls, shoe shops, bars, all types of businesses are integrated into the purchase net, which the user can access with a certain credit limit according to their salaries. ‘95% of the system is GeneXus; combined with C applications’. The system, which has been working for three years, runs on an AS/400 architecture.
“We came to Uruguay two years ago for the first time, to see what ARTech was, what the structure was like, the credibility related to the product’s support and continuity’, Joao Gualberto from ACC stated. ‘In those times, we had five copies of GeneXus; today we have 16. It is a practical and quick tool, and after we met with the ARTech team, we decided to gamble a bit more on their product, development and research.”
