GeneXus 9.0 Released

Following an intense beta testing program that involved over one thousand beta testers, a new easier to use version was released with tons of new features, which is already harvesting testimonies of its productivity.

Many of our customers are already enjoying the benefits of working with GeneXus 9.0. One of them is the Asociación de Criadores de Nelore (The Breeders Association of Nelore - ACNB).

ACNB required a fast development platform, creating a Data Warehouse and developing the system for both Windows and the web, for all of which it chose GeneXus 9.0.

The Breeders Association of Nelore in Brazil gathers Nelore breed producers and breeders with the aim of strengthening the breed that accounts for 90 of the 135 million heads of beef cattle in Brazil.

ACNB started working with GeneXus a short time ago with the purpose of updating its systems developed on Visual Basic 6.0 with SQL Server, and it chose the new GeneXus 9.0 version, generating for .NET and using SQL Server as DBMS.

Faced with the creation of a national system to address the needs of all its associations in Brazil, ACNB needed a fast development platform that will allow for both Windows and web developments while creating a Data Warehouse.

"GeneXus was the only tool that could accomplish this in such a short time, especially with the resources of this new version (AJAX, mySQL, Dynamic ComboBox& Business Components&), which we are fully taking advantage of", noted Ricardo Cesar Oliveira.

Our tests with AJAX have been satisfactory& and we were impressed by the levels of responsiveness and correction of ARTech team during this beta testing period. We made calls on Saturdays and Sundays that were 100% solved, something unheard of with any other supplier here in Brazil.

Congratulations to ARTech team for this 9.0 version. We learned to use GeneXus with 8.0 version, but because our systems were meant for the web we decided to work with GeneXus 9.0 directly and, the tool has taken a great productivity leap!, added Olivera.

Give it a try!
