"We are really enthused about this new GeneXus version allowing us to build dynamic web sites linked with databases and applications for the new .NET platform. This new version has allowed us to develop our Web site by profiting from GeneXus benefits in order to build web services that will bring about significant advantages to our clients. These web services will be offered to our clients, and they will also be used by our company. Besides, this will be another way to reach new clients", said Sam Helmich, IT Director of ADMIS.
"Microsoft is pleased to be working with ARTech in order to provide a complete business solution to clients", said John Montgomery, group product manager of .NET Developer Platform at Microsoft Corp. "The combination of GeneXus and Microsoft.NET's platform will result in an exciting new solution, which hides details of database design from business users in order to maximize the productivity of those clients we have in common".
The development of ADMIS' application started in July, this year, with a single developer that migrated the application to the new C# generator in only two days. The application contains 100,000 C# -code lines, 50 tables, 16 Web Forms, 19 Web Components, 80 HTML pages, and 101 C# programs. It was totally created with GeneXus' C# generator. The first public beta version was released in September, and production is scheduled for November.
"As a part of Microsoft's Early Adopter Program, ARTech has created its own early adopter program for its clients. 28 out of our 4,000 clients are currently migrating their GeneXus applications to C# in order to run on the Microsoft.NET platform.", said Nicolás Jodal, ARTechs Vice-president.
