ATLAS Publishing Group selected GeneXus for developing its new smart device platform

The new platform for Android is already operational, enabling real-time data management in addition to qualitative and quantitative follow-up on sales forces.

The ATLAS Publishing Group -a company that provides editorial, publishing and marketing services- has selected GeneXus to develop its new smart device platform for Android.

“The company’s target was real-time data management, that is to say, the possibility of doing a follow-up on the firm’s sales force in both quantitative and qualitative terms, optimizing the performance of its salespeople and channeling their efforts through roadmaps,” explained Sergio Iván Aquino Britez, head of the Systems Development Area. “Also, we wanted a Command Dashboard capable of monitoring the performance of our salespeople, indicating their non-compliance with predefined scopes through alerts issued to the corresponding individuals in charge, and assisting them in their management tasks for each sales group.”

Before using the GeneXus tool, ATLAS Group expected the development of the application to take up to twelve months with five people working on it. GeneXus has provided reduced costs in both time and human resources. The development was completed in only three months with a staff of only three members. This has increased time productivity by 400% and reduced the workforce by 40%, achieving equal results.

“Parallel to this, we had a difficult job updating the existing systems due to the complications in finding human resources experienced in the tools used for developing those systems. We received GeneXus as a solution that implied both savings and the possibility of developing on multi-platform environments, without the need for knowledge about all environments,” explained Aquino.
