Dear colleagues and friends of GeneXus
community:
We are glad to inform that Cybernet has certified all
areas of the company in compliance with UNIT-ISO 9001:2000 and the European
AENOR (Asociación Española de Normalización y Certificación), and received the
diploma of IQ-Net Association - The International Certification
Network.
These certifications encompass all our working areas:
design, development, production start-up and maintenance of software products,
training, installation and customization of Logistix system; as well as IT
consulting.
When reviewing those areas, auditors noted the strengths
of Cybernet: high involvement of management and generalized use of IT in the
Quality Management System.
For us at Cybernet, quality means constant contact with
customers, supporting customer success, continuous improvement of all processes
and the integral development of our people.
But, how did we get here?
At the end of 2002 a process of intense change began with
a review of Strategic Management, followed in 2003 by a review of International
Marketing. As a consequence, in December 2003, focus was placed on the
improvement of work processes and Quality Management, which we had started in
1998 with the application of a Continuous Improvement Model.
It was then decided to review mainly the methodologies
applied in consulting, development and support, and to focus on customer benefit
and competitiveness in compliance with international standards and practices,
using GeneXus for development and staying focused on our competitive advantages.
Within this framework, the ISO 9001 certification was a byproduct of the quality
improvement process rather than an objective per se.
It has been a hard road, which took more time than
initially planned, but finally we have reached highly satisfactory results.
In this road, the high commitment from all the human team
has been and will continue to be essential.
The work ahead is now permanent improvement; it is just
beginning and there is no coming back.
As a final thought, companies that solely seek to certify,
will only achieve heavier bureaucracy, the objective has to be the quality our
customers need in a framework of mutual benefit. With this approach,
certification becomes a natural result rather than a burden in the search of a
new seal.
Friends, we would like to thank you for your long lasting
support and share this achievement with all of you, with the awareness that
every time we accomplish a new objective, we recall the verses of the poet "
Traveler, there is no path, the path is made by walking...",
A fraternal greeting from,
Jorge Moleri and Mª Elena Riva-Zucchelli
