GeneXus Cloud Computing #GeneXusTheBestOf2014

(22/12/2014-19:21)
The biggest announcements for the GeneXus Community in 2014 included one related to the global consolidation of the Cloud in the software sector. In October, the website cloud.genexus.com was released; this site concentrates all the possibilities offered by the feature "Deploy on the cloud".

The Cloud is a phenomenon that has evolved and grown in all sectors of society, to the point that it has become an essential tool for numerous businesses and industries. For this reason, GeneXus has made available a solution to deploy systems in a simple, secure, cost-efficient and scalable manner.
“The objective is to have all options available when deploying to production, in order to select the most suitable one for the then current needs directly from the IDE. This is an initial step in the context of a line of work aimed at helping developers with deployment to production, and ensuring the high quality of their developments”, stated Nicolás Jodal when he introduced cloud.genexus.com at GX24.

In this context, a new feature called “F6” was presented during the event. It is based on the previous F5 / Click to cloud to prototype, which consists in deploying the application to a production server with a single click. GeneXus provides this service in association with the top players in the cloud market (Amazon, Google, IBM Softlayer, Microsoft, Montevideo COMM - Red Hat, etc).
