Datalogic is an Uruguayan company which has been selling its management system -including the salary payment management module developed with GeneXus - and has been offering computer center services to other companies since 1987. They started using GeneXus as a development tool in 1995, and have been using it since then in all custom-made projects.
The company is currently working on 250 contracts monthly, reported Gustavo Charbonnier, Datalogic's Director. Payment management was developed using GeneXus from a project that Datalogic undertook together with the consulting company KPMG, which supplied the know-how when specifying and designing the system. Thanks to KPMG's knowledge, Salary Payment Management was developed with a strong theoretical base, which makes it adaptable for medium and large businesses, explained Charbonnier. The system focuses on the payment of salaries and includes the management of leave pays and personnel matters.
"The system parameterization took only a week in Bolivia," pointed out Datalogic's Director. Payment Management was completely adapted toBolivian regulations, meeting all the requirements related to salary payment. The installation was made on an NT server with an SQL Server database as client/server in order to allow remote operation.
In addition to McDonald's in Bolivia, in Uruguay the system is also used by McDonald's, by the consulting firm TeaDeloitte&Touche, by Uruguay's Channel 12 TV and by the Lawn Tennis Club. The Club uses the salary payment system integrated with the access control software supplied by Lanata Sanguinetti thanks to a technical cooperation agreement between the two companies.
Other clients include Hotel Meliá, McCann Erickson, Pluna, Siemmens and Teyma.
