Since last March, a group of GeneXus users of southern Brazil meets regularly to exchange knowledge and experiences, clear doubts and even teach those who want to learn how to use the tool. These monthly meetings take place on the second Thursday of every month. The most recent one, which was held on July 16, gathered 24 people, 5 of which where professionals from Artech who listened to suggestions and answered questions about GeneXus through Skype.
The 6th GUG Meeting is scheduled to take place on August 13.
The initiative to create the GeneXus Users Group (GUG) came from
Nataniel Strack, an Information Technology graduate who has been working with GeneXus for 12 years. While talking casually with other professionals, he realized that it would be very useful to meet in order to discuss and exchange technical information about GeneXus. "I'd like that all users of southern Brazil meet there. We also welcome those who want to learn about the tool and become GeneXus users," comments Strack.
The meetings, which are free and start at about 7 p.m., take place at the DAER (Departamento Autônomo de Estradas de Rodagem), Av. Borges de Medeiros 1555 (Ball room) in Porto Alegre (RS) and last approximately 2 hours. To sign up, you only have to fill out a form that will be made available a few days before the Meeting on the GUG's
blog. There you can find information about the previous meetings, and participate in a discussion list about GeneXus.
