| | | A new version of GeneXus has appeared. We introduce the CTP of GeneXus X Evolution 1, announced by Breogán Gonda at the XVIII GeneXus International Meeting. |
GeneXus X is moving ahead. The new version of GeneXus X Evolution 1 is available in CTP (Community Technology Preview).
GeneXus X Evolution 1 has several features that contribute to its completeness - by including Win as well as Web generators - it stands out for integrating knowledge, facilitating error detection and facilitating teamwork.
Key scenarios of Evolution 1:
• Windows applications: support for the development of Windows applications such as Java, .Net, .Net Mobile, Visual FoxPro and Visual Basic.
• iSeries applications: support for iSeries (green screen), including the development of RPG and Cobol applications.
• Development Team: a new way to integrate large work teams using GeneXus Server, the new product that may be added to GeneXus, enabling Teamwork, which is the ability to work in a team connected to a Server.
• Failure and performance application, identification of bottlenecks materialized in a debugger will make your development experience an easier task: Debugging, to understand how a program is being executed; Profiler, to correct errors in performance.
• Change defender: customization application and new versions of the distribution application. Integration between the changes suggested by the customer and the software house is easier. It makes it possible to send new versions of the application and integrate the versions so as not to lose your customizations through the KB merge.
An excellent presentation on this topic and the possible use scenarios may be seen and listened to in the GeneXus X Evolution 1 Conference delivered by Guillermo Pasquero at the Meeting.
