The GeneXus Users Group of Montevideo starts this year of activities with a meeting scheduled for April 15, 6:30 p.m. at the KDC located in LATU's premises.
Schedule of activities:
6:30 to 6:45 p.m. – Reception and tour of the new offices.
6:45 to 7:00 p.m. – State of Collaborative Projects II. Presentation of betas to support the voting that begins that same day, made by Daniel Monza and David Giordano.
7:00 to 7:20 – Automatic generation of test cases with GeneXus. Matías Reina, Fabián Baptista and Federico Toledo from Abstracta talk about how to exploit information saved in GeneXus for automatically generating test cases.
7:20 to 7:30 p.m. – Break
7:30 to 8:15 p.m. – Methodology for estimating project times. The time of making estimates is a key moment in every project, as any mistake at this stage can have serious consequences. Marcela Corbo from GeneXus Consulting will speak about how to use this methodology.
8:15 to 8:30 p.m. – Break
8:30 to 9:15 p.m. – Juan Marcelo Bustamante Lamas from Puntoexe Consultores will give the following talk: "Pistol or Revolver? Knowing when to use the right gun may make the difference between life and death." Creating better, more powerful interfaces for applications now requires more knowledge and skills. But we must find balance between flexibility, visual impact and meeting requirements, delivering results in the shortest time possible. The use of tools that make the task easier, while maintaining high quality, flexibility and standards is undoubtedly the way to go. Technological changes can occur sooner that we expect, and being able to adapt to these changes in the shortest time possible will make a difference.
