| | | Gerardo Pizarro, GXFlow Product and ARTech's Channels Manager, announced that ARTech would launch its new GXFlow 7.5 product within a month. This product has been integrated into GeneXus and offers a single interface for all applications. |
GXFlow 7.5 is the result of ARTech's experience in working with WorkFlow technology. The product offers the easiest way to design, optimize, and document business-related processes. Unlike traditional methodologies, which focus on specific company activities, GXFlow focuses on processes as a whole, and is therefore, adaptable to any kind of context (health, government, portals, banking, financial institutions, etc.). GXFlow monitors, checks and records the company's processes by doing a follow-up on the work to be done, based on the company's information, and rules that are required to accomplish each step of the process. In order to optimize processes the product identifies tasks that add no value, and which can be eliminated. This results in a reduction of the process' duration as a whole, as well as on the unnecessary working time needed for its management.
Single interface Developers program the tasks, while GXFlow checks access depending on users or roles, status transition, task execution, and handles each user's task in-tray. All the applications developed with GXFlow 7.5 share a single interface -the task in-tray- that can be generated either for Windows or for Web, and whose design may be customized by the final user.
GeneXus integration GXFlow 7.5 has been integrated into the GeneXus tool suite -which simplifies the developer's job- and into Microsoft Office tools. The product offers a graphic tool -GeneXus Process Modeler (GXPM)- which enables design and visualization of a company's processes in diagrams, that are automatically integrated into the final solution. This tool is based on use-case diagrams and activity diagrams following UML standards (Unified Modeling Language). The integration with GeneXus enables the creation of the WorkFlow-associated program from GXPM. Moreover, objects may be defined as WorkFlow -just like they may be defined as datawarehouse objects- which means, that it will not be necessary to remember certain parameters which will now be automatically included.
Data Warehouse Component The product also enables users to calculate the efficiency of the business by spotting bottlenecks, and critical paths before they become a problem. This information -drawn with GXPlorer OLAP- provides a clear overview of the way in which processes are functioning in a company at a given time, while helping users to make and implement the necessary decisions in a timely manner. The Data Warehouse component, which has been incorporated to the product, enables execution, quantity, and duration analysis of the different business processes. This analysis may be done by role, task, process or date, among other options. It is worth mentioning that all GXFlow components are compliant with the standards defined by the "Workflow Management Coalition".
Commercial Plan Gerardo Pizarro, GXFlow Product Manager announced that according to the commercialization plan that has been defined for GXFlow 7.5, both the GXPM and licenses for final users with access to the Workflow engine would be charged accordingly. Pizarro explained that prices for the GXPM and for licenses would be available before the end of the month. For more information: Gerardo Pizarro (gpizarro@artech.com.uy) |
