One of the new GXportal 4.3 functionalities is the possibility of deciding what filters to apply when sending a new issue of a news list. That means that the list of newsletter subscribers can be filtered by country, role or gender. Also, it will be possible to define a description for each issue of the newsletter, which will be the subject of the e-mail the subscribers will receive with the issue.
From now on there will also be a new way to upload images. In addition to using the image upload mechanism by FTP, it will be possible to configure at the portal level for the upload to be done through HTTP, so it won’t be necessary to configure the FTP server to do it.
Concerning security, the new Backend Security Administrator will allow a user to be exclusively in charge of the tasks related with portal security. From version 4.3 a control has been added that will prevent setting the minimum length of the user passwords as zero, as a security policy. From this GXportal version, the minimum accepted will be 3.
