GxTend is a SCM (Software Configuration Management) tool for GeneXus developed by Accendo. Weing Co. Ltd., GxTend distributor in Japan, presented the main features of GxTend at SODEC Expo: versioning, traceability, concurrence control, change management and productivity tools.
When asked about how they had entered the Japanese market, Pablo Planinich, Engineer at Accendo, replied: “In any market, the various GeneXus events are great for facilitating first contacts. But entering the Japanese market was not easy. The hardest work was solved by the tool itself thanks to its features: it is a very easy product to install and use. Besides, GxTend documentation facilitated communication with all the people who had contact with the product. Especially with Weing Co. Ltd., GxTend distributor in Japan, who was testing critical aspects, such as double byte character support."
About the opportunities in the Japanese market, he added: “We know that the Japanese market is demanding and mature. This is an advantage for us because their companies have clearly identified the need of a SCM tool for projects with GeneXus.”
