The Expression data type is used to evaluate expressions at runtime. In this How To you will find a simple example that shows how to use it. |
Suppose that you have some formulas whose definition will probably change in the future. Using a standard approach, generally you will be able to encapsulate the formula as a Knowledge Base formula and GeneXus will apply that definition everywhere the attribute is used.
But, what happens if that definition must be changed by client, installation, or some other type of parameterization? The Expression data type can help you.
