Julio Decaro will present the seminar "Strategies for successful implementations: How to manage the human factor in the implementation of new information technologies", on November 22, at the Emperador Hotel in Buenos Aires. |
The best technologies and implementation practices not always guarantee expected results for projects. The objective of the seminar organized by HST, GeneXus distributor in Argentina (http://capacitacion.hst.com.ar), is to present a theoretical model, to be used as a guide when leading organizational change, whose efficacy and practical use has been proven. It will also determine ways of: a) defining the degree of success in technology implementations, stages in the process and requirements in order to achieve it; b) learning about the more frequent obstacles and tools applicable to each of them in order to minimize them or eliminate them; and lastly, c) transferring basic concepts drawn from his experience in facilitating this type of project. The lecturer, Mr. Julio Decaro, is a Medical Doctor, graduated from Universidad de la República in 1974, receiving the Gold Medal Award. He has continued his studies abroad at Harvard University, the University of San Diego (C alifornia), the Mental Research Institute ( Palo Alto, California ), and the IPPEM (currently known as Universidad de Flores, in Argentina ). He specializes in methods to apply new psychological trends (new behavior-related sciences) to all the problems affecting the human factor in organizations and businesses, with a focus on negotiations, communication, and persuasion as instruments of leadership, conflict resolution, and change. Decaro, in cooperation with Roger Fisher, Howard Raiffa, Danny Ertel et al co-authored the book Negotiation 2000; and he is the author of "The Human Face of Negotiation, edited by McGraw-Hill Int. He has taught courses and provided consultancy services for private companies and governmental and non-governmental organizations in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
