In-Style's experience: GXPortlets are awesome

Besides the GXPortal Content Administrator -used for publishing news articles without making any Web editions, among other things- In-Style Software (www.instylesoft.com) used several of the ready-to-use components provided by GXPortal. 
"The pre-defined components (GXPortlets) are awesome; we can create user groups, forums and FAQs with no programming, just by setting up the GXPortlet," said Mr. Prusky.

"We created restricted-access areas for our clients and employees with just a few clicks. Then we set up a page for new users with the information that we require from them, and sent a private link to our clients. We want to improve our communication with them, and now we can send messages to either one or all of them, and provide them with information about a specific product, release or other news." 

"We also took advantage of the survey component to obtain better information about our users, and complemented it with an add-in that includes e-mail notices. This way, each time a Web user fills out a survey, we receive an e-mail with the information provided, together with the date and time when it was sent. Once this was ready, we also implemented it in the restricted-access area," explained In-Style's Project Manager. 

Currently, the company is starting to use the FAQs component to create a Web Hosting glossary of terms, rather than programming it manually.
