Guzman Etchebehere, partner and Director of INSIS claimed that partnering with a local company is one of the best options for going international with the business.
As a part of the efforts of this Uruguayan company to transform the international market into its main source of revenue in the coming years, INSIS partnered with a company in Ecuador, which is expected to pave the way for the sale of its integrated company-management solution, GCI. Esther Nin, Etchebehere´s partner at INSIS, reported that now that they are in, the next step will be the promotion of the product in this market.
GCI (Total Accounting Management) is an integrated management system developed with GeneXus, and used in Uruguay by the country's Central Bank, AFSA (Peugeot), Montevideo Refrescos, Chic Parisien, Xerox Uruguay, and C.A.S.M.U. among other companies. It also has clients in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Paraguay. INSIS has worked with GeneXus since 1993; it has been ARTech's GeneXus Solution Partner since March 1998, and is member of the GeneXus Alliance as Knowledge Base Supplier of GeneXus.
INSIS' Director stressed on the important contribution made by the ProEx program from Foundation Empretec in terms of learning methodologies to tap into international markets.
The Mexican market has become the current target, and assessment and discussions with potential counterparts in Mexico are under way.
