More than 400 people attended general sessions and presentations of success stories. The event began with a presentation by Dr. Yoshiyasu Takefuji, Kio University Professor, who made a demo of the latest technologies and applications (handsets, Internet gadgets, power harvesting). Next, Dr. Touhei Uchiyama, on behalf of the Information Technology Institute at Keio University, gave an introduction to the concept of e-government implemented in Korea.
Mr. Kenji Nagata from Doutor Coffee discussed his experience developing with GeneXus and made a live demo of the application developed for one of the main coffee boutiques in Japan.
Rodrigo Sena from Dia Systems (Brazil) introduced the development made for Toyota Brazil.
Towards the end of the event, Breogán Gonda, Artech President, presented the philosophy that drove the consolidation of GeneXus: ”Working with pure knowledge is one of the pillars of our technology; describing instead of programming is our goal,” he stated during his presentation.
In his closing address, Fumio Owaki from GeneXus Japan presented real-life cases in which productivity increases were achieved with GeneXus.
