| | | K2B at the XVIII GeneXus International Meeting |
| (07/10/2008-17:49) |
K2B had a strong presence in the Meeting; where they shared presentations and invited Partners to participate in the project. |
K2B participated in the GeneXus Users Meeting with an internationally consolidated Product and a clear invitation to the community to join a high-level business platform in order to generate opportunities for the different players of the program. Receptivity was very good. Various work lines were generated, which will undoubtedly boost possibilities for the GeneXus community; more than 25 software houses will start to work in the program in its different modalities, including K2B Installer.
Several conferences presented by the K2B team reinforced the concept of “future-proof” ERP, introducing the different research lines that are being followed. The main themes addressed were: flexibility to adapt to changes, technological innovation and incorporation of the latest management and business process concepts.
Additionally, Government experiences were specifically presented by sharing those of Uruguay, Venezuela and Mexico. The Partners and the K2B community had their meeting place at the K2B promotional stand, where the K2B institutional video was also shown.
K2B Tools K2B Tools was present at the Meeting, launching the RC2 version for GeneXus X and showing the Architecture of the applications generated. The new version for GeneXus X and the lines of work in progress for the generation of prompts and multiple choice panels were introduced. One interesting novelty was the incorporation of a new component to the K2B Tools Architecture, the new GeneXus X object called Business Entity that facilitates a higher level of abstraction when describing knowledge and incorporating greater semantics into the KB.
Also, the SIE software house presented two original applications -VerSys CRM & Docs and Genoma Salud - where K2B Tools and GeneXus X were used for technological update. Due to its fantastic performance, it was distinguished by Artech with the award Recognition to SIE S.A. “for their Contribution as Early Adopter of the X version.”
After the Meeting there was a training course on K2B Tools with the participation of 10 companies from different countries. This training had a double purpose: first, it was the basis for the pre-launching of the K2B Tools Early Adopter Program for GeneXus X; second, it was also the kickoff for a series of K2B Tools courses intended for the GeneXus Community to rapidly adopt the new version of GeneXus X, relying on K2B Tools as an evolution platform for their KBs.
