KO1 is software designed to gather and organize knowledge. It is an advanced Knowledge Organizer system created to assist in learning, creativity, and management processes. KO1 allows for indexation, classification, and hierarchical arrangement of ideas and multimedia information, by storing the data in Personal Knowledge Bases.
Version 2 of KO1 has incorporated the Associated Search function allowing users to easily find documents whose content looks like a given document or group of documents. This feature makes it possible to actually engage in "knowledge mining" when searching for information that is not necessarily related in an intuitive, and obvious way for what the user wants to find. Besides, the Data Import and Export function has been expanded, so that totally integrated content subgroups in a Workspace can be transferred. A function that allows users to add the content of other Workspaces into a particular Workspace has been included as well. Copy and elimination of Workspaces are carried out within the system.
