The product catalogue is a GXportal module to easily
manage the definition and maintenance of products and their presentation.
The catalogue is included in the GXportal license for both
Full and Lite versions. That means it will be available at no cost for those who
already have a GXportal license.
The product catalogue enables the generation of the
product list with products displayed by section and sub-section. Additionally,
it is possible to design a menu to navigate the different sections and
subsections highlighting specific offers or products in each one of them.
Each product has associated information that may or may
not be displayed, according to user preferences. The product information that
can be defined includes bulk discounts, term price offers, dynamic features by
product type, recommended products, image gallery, detailed descriptions and so
on.
The catalogue also includes a search engine and an
advanced search engine for users to find products quickly by name, price, price
range, product type, sections, etc.
The next GXportal 4.3 version will allow performing online
transactions with a "shopping cart" add-in to be licensed separately.
