The application called SAC (Customer Attention System), available at ARTech's website (http://www.artech.com.uy/cgi-bin/webartech/hscver11.exe?S,33), registers different tips, issues and corrections and allows you to make queries by word, by SAC number, by product, etc. It also offers the option to logged-in users of querying the status of the incidents reported by the users, as well as subscribing to receive any changes made in the SAC. Users were already able to download the database and a Visual Basic application to make offline queries, but due to the success of the CHM technology (HTML compiled) applied to the GXDL (GX Developer Library, http://www.artech.com.uy/cgi-bin/webartech/hdlmnu02.exe?S,37) we have decided to apply it in the SAC. So from now on you will be able to download a CHM to make the offline queries you need. Among other advantages, this format allows more complex searches, to highlight the searched for words in the text and to bookmark your favourite SACs for quick queries. You just need to download the file and double click on it to execute it. It is available at http://www.artech.com.uy/cgi-bin/webartech/hdcver03.exe?S,31,0,593 (Download Center\ Type=Utility Program). We believe the CHM technology –which is very powerful for searches and doesn ’t need installing, will become a invaluable source of information for GeneXus developers. |
