The Uruguayan company has adopted GeneXus.NET for setting up a human resources management program that also deals with payroll. Likewise, there are two other applications in production that have been developed with this generator. |
Last year, this Uruguayan company, focused on customization, decided to put together its first standard package in order to launch into the market. That is how Contacto was born; Contacto is a human resources management system that also deals with payroll.
The adoption of state-of-the-art technology was one of the decisions that the company made in seeking to differentiate the product. Diego Álvarez and Gerardo Navone, Zen Systems Directors, claim that this is the reason why Contacto was developed with GeneXus 7.5 .NET generator.
Contacto provides the traditional functions of any human resource system (performance appraisals, training, etc.), but also tools for enhancing communication within the company. Among these tools, there is a messaging engine that uses the GeneXus 7.5 webrapper technology for sending e-mail. This technology is also used in the survey manager and enables the human resources department to write out a survey onto a form and analyze the results by using GeneXus QUERY.
Moreover, there is a human resources portal whose objective is to support the company's internal communication, which allows -within a security scheme-to subscribe to news services or to reply to classified adds published inside the portal. The system incorporates the XML, XSL technology which enables it to provide and make use of Web Services. Import of information related to external applications in staff recruiting or the consumption of GXChart as a graph server are examples of this.
The product is currently being installed for two clients, and the company has its mind set on partnering with a Human Resources company in order to provide the consulting service as an Application Server Provider. The company already has two other applications that have been developed with the GeneXus.NET generator: the Web portal of Medea, a textile company, and an internal portal used as a document manager at Teyma, a construction company. |
