Technological Update Program

HST S.A., together with Microsoft, SUN, Oracle, and HP, has developed Technological Update Programs for GeneXus clients to perform migration trials. This will ensure them the chance to place themselves in the technological lead. 

"The Technological Update Programs aim at walking our clients through the evaluation of new technologies (.NET or JAVA), through pilot trials, and offering the necessary technological, human, and infrastructure support." explained Gisela Bertelli, from HST.

The programs were launched for software houses, technicians and project managers last May 14th, at Hotel Emperador. 50% of the participants signed up for the proposal. 

"Once again, we would like to give our user community the chance to expand their technological horizons. This is why, with the support of our main partners, we have designed free Technological Update Programs for GeneXus clients to carry out trials on the two execution platforms currently dominating the market (JAVA and .NET). Based on this experience, they will be able to decide on the most appropriate technological path for their companies to follow," added Bertelli. 

Thanks to the alliance between HST, Microsoft, and HP, customers will be able to run trials using the GeneXus .NET generator on the following servers: HP Itanium 2 with Win2003 and SQL as DB engine.
In addition, the alliance between HST, Sun, and Oracle offers the platforms for performing migration trials using the GeneXus JAVA generator, on the following servers: SUN Solaris and Oracle as DB engine.
