Knowledge-sharing is one of the main characteristics of the GeneXus community. For this reason, and in view of the clear need emerging with the progressive use of User Controls, the User Controls Forum was created.
“We needed more usable applications that could achieve more interaction with the end user at the time when other technologies appeared that made it possible. But from Artech we couldn’t create all the “Web 2.0 components” that the GeneXus community needed, so we created the User Controls or, in other words, we made the set of controls extensible”, explained Gonzalo Cuiñas, member of Artech Java Support Team.
The idea of the forum is to have a space for User Controls developers to share ideas of examples, to help each other (having, in turn, the support of Artech members to collaborate in solving certain problems), and mostly to share resources and discuss the new technologies to use in the creation of User Controls (Flash, Silverlight, Flesh, etc.) |
