GeneXus Ceibo offers the easiest way to the Internet. Some of its main features are the new version of the Web Panels editor, Java as the third visual and the new possibilities to commercialize applications thanks to the private objects. In future issues we will discuss private objects in depth.
The changes introduced in the Web Panels editor of the new GeneXus version offer great improvements. Thanks to the Ceibo editor, GeneXusnow generates Internet oriented applications. GeneXus makes stepping into the network much easier.
The new Web Panels editor is simpler, making it possible to develop higher quality applications in less time. Programming is also easier; in the new editor the developer works in an interface that shows what will be published on the Internet (WYSIWYG). Plus, it is much more powerful.
Additionally, the new GeneXus version offers new possibilities regarding commercialization of applications, thanks to the introduction of private objects. With this version, we are no longer limited to just selling an application or a knowledge base. Analysts now have the possibility of defining, as private, the objects containing the core of the development knowledge, preventing others erroneous/unauthorized modifications.Meaning, the client is allowed to modify lateral features, while the knowledge base is preserved. This feature makes it possible to develop an application for a whole area, not just for one company, protecting the knowledge.
The temporary limitations of the beta version will soon be overcome; also the Web Panels editor will be improved.
